DESCRIPTION
AgroBus is a three-person project sprint in which our focus was on creating a service that fulfills a need in our community. We identified a community of small business owners and local farmers who needed a way to grow their brand and presence in the community. We created AgroBus to fulfill this need.

To begin designing AgroBus we needed to fully understand the scope of our problem and goals. We looked at similar services that exist already, talked to the stakeholders, and conducted research on the concept. Our primary source of information was from the local farmers market at which we were able to talk to many family business members and farmers. This helped us identify key issues they face and start devising solutions around them.
Our solution came in the form of a mobile produce bus which would coordinate picking up goods from a selection of local farmers and selling them in neighborhood communities. This helped the primary issue many small farmers face which is not having the time or resources to actively sell their products as much as they would like. It also ensures they have a better community presence as AgroBus would expand their reach past the community they are currently able to serve.
The Mission: It is AgroBus’ goal is to bring local farmers’ and small businesses’ products right to residents doors. The sustainable transportation and efficient routing will keep fresh produce and local goods one step away from Raleigh’s citizens while benefiting those who produce it.
